Holly grew up as an Idaho farm girl, but discovered her passion for philosophy as an undergraduate at the London School of Economics. She is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of San Diego, and holds a BA in Economics from Wellesley college and an M.Phil and PhD in Intellectual History and Political Thought from the University of Cambridge. She and her husband, Tim, are the grateful parents of six children. She blogs at Philosophy for Parents, loves history, music, sightseeing, and cooking, and pleads guilty to the charge of being a political junkie.
